​Terms and Conditions of Sale
​Effective Date: 12 August 2025
​1. Introduction
​Alpha Cat (Pty) Ltd (“Alpha Cat,” “we,” “us”) specializes in the sale of high-quality LED lights for vehicles, sourced by us. These terms and conditions govern all purchases made from Alpha Cat. By purchasing from us, you (“the Customer”) agree to be bound by these terms.
​2. Sales and Payment
​2.1 All prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are not subject to VAT at present.
​2.2 Full payment is required before delivery or collection of the product unless otherwise agreed in writing.
​2.3 Ownership of the product transfers to the Customer only upon full payment.
​3. Delivery and Transport
​3.1 We deliver anywhere in SA. Our lead time is currently 2-3 days on items in stock.
​3.2 Delivery costs, where applicable, are quoted at the time of purchase and are the responsibility of the Customer.
​3.3 Alpha Cat does not cover transport costs for the return of products for repairs, inspections, or replacements, whether under warranty or otherwise, unless explicitly agreed in writing.
​3.4 The Customer is responsible for ensuring safe and secure transport of the product to our workshop for any repairs or assessments.
​4. Warranty and Repairs
​4.1 Warranty Coverage: Alpha Cat provides a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship under normal use.
​4.2 Free Repairs: In the event of a manufacturing defect, or as a gesture of goodwill for damage due to negligence, Alpha Cat will repair the product free of charge, provided the product is returned to our workshop at the Customer’s expense.
​4.3 Exclusions: The warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, improper care, accidents, or modifications not authorized by Alpha Cat.
​4.4 To claim under the warranty, the Customer must provide proof of purchase (e.g., invoice or receipt) and notify Alpha Cat within the warranty period.
​4.5 Repair Process: Repairs will be conducted at Alpha Cat’s workshop. The Customer is responsible for arranging and covering the cost of transporting the product to and from the workshop.
​5. Returns and Refunds
​5.1 Under the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), No. 68 of 2008, Customers may return products within 6 months of purchase if they are defective, unsafe, or unfit for purpose, subject to inspection by Alpha Cat.
​5.2 Returns for non-defective products are subject to Alpha Cat’s discretion and may incur a restocking fee.
​5.3 Refunds, where approved, will be processed within 14 business days, excluding transport costs.
​6. Customer Responsibilities
​6.1 The Customer must inspect the product upon delivery and report any visible defects or damage within 10 days.
​6.2 The Customer must follow care instructions provided with the product to maintain its condition and warranty eligibility.
​7. Dispute Resolution
​7.1 Any disputes arising from the purchase or use of our products will first be addressed through direct communication with Alpha Cat.
​7.2 If unresolved, disputes may be referred to the Motor Industry Ombudsman or another relevant body, in accordance with South African law.
​8. General
​8.1 Alpha Cat reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, with updated terms communicated to Customers.
​8.2 These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
